CNN host, Van Jones shared a message  received from conservative activist Charlie Kirk, who passed away on September 10, 2025.

It would be recalled that Charljie Kirk left behind his wife, Erika Kirk and their two young children, following a tragic incident while delivering a speech at Utah Valley University.

Van Jones shares message received from late Charlie Kirk

The message dated September 9, 2025, reveals Charlie Kirk sent a direct message to Van Jones on X (formerly Twitter), inviting him for a respectful conversation about crime and race on his show.

The message read, ” ‘Hey, Van, I mean it, I’d love to have you on my show to have a respectful conversation about crime and race. I would be a gentleman as I know you would be as well. We can disagree about the issues agreeably”.

Charlie Kirk’s Memorial Service

The memorial service had over 200,000 attendees. His wife, Erika Kirk, addressed the audience, delivering remarks at the service alongside notable speakers like President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance.

Prior to the memorial service, President Donald Trump honored Charlie Kirk, a key ally during his lifetime.

In tribute to Kirk, President Trump announced that he would posthumously receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

Notably, Kirk was a prominent figure in the MAGA movement and a strong supporter of Trump’s presidency.

The suspected killer of Charlie Kirk has been identified as 22-year-old Tyler Robinson.

According to reports, Tyler Robinson allegedly confessed to killing Charlie Kirk due to his hatred for him.

This was seen ina series of text messages to his partner, Lance Twiggs.
