Christians may seem foolish to the world, but they are wiser than they appear. You cannot be an effective Christian without first becoming a fool.
People may wonder why Christians believe in a God they can’t see, follow a crucified Saviour, and give up pleasures for future promised eternal rewards that may never come.
However, the world may think Christians are foolish, but God sees them as wise. True wisdom isn’t about being smart or successful in the world’s eyes. It’s about knowing Christ, who holds all the wisdom and knowledge we need.
Even though the world may call Christians fools, they understand that real life comes from putting others first, that true strength is found in weakness, that victory comes from surrendering to God, and that the greatest treasure is not money but knowing Christ.
So, if the world thinks you’re foolish for following Christ, don’t be discouraged. Rejoice! In Christ, you are wiser than the smartest people on earth. The cross, once a symbol of shame, is now your greatest honour. The Word of God, once rejected, is now your most valuable possession. And the faith you hold, once ridiculed, is now your greatest source of strength.
Stay strong, be brave, and share the “foolish” message that saves souls. In the end, the world’s wisdom will fade away, but those who trust in the Lord will shine forever. Remember, what may seem foolish to the world is wiser than anything they can imagine.
So, be a “fool” for Christ, and you will be wise for all eternity. You are not only a fool; you are also dead. The dead have no feeling for the world and its hurting emotions.
Just imagine! Someone hurts you, but instead of fighting back, you choose to forgive them show them kindness, and turn the other cheek just like Jesus taught in Matthew 5:39. This goes against what most people would do when they’re mistreated. Some might think it’s a sign of weakness, but in reality, it takes a lot of inner strength, wisdom, and love to respond this way.
Jesus talked about this idea in the Sermon on the Mount. He wanted people to understand that being right with God isn’t just about following rules, but about showing love, mercy, and grace to others. He wanted us to break the cycle of violence and respond to evil with goodness. Even when Jesus Himself was treated unfairly and hurt, He didn’t fight back. He showed us that turning the other cheek is about choosing love over revenge.
But that doesn’t mean we should let people walk all over us. It’s more about having a loving attitude, even in tough situations. Jesus stood up against injustice and spoke out against wrong things, but He did it with love and without seeking revenge.
It shows that love is stronger than hate. It proves that real strength comes from responding like Jesus did, with love and self-control. It is a good thing because it shows God’s wisdom. It’s about choosing love over getting even, peace over fighting, and eternal rewards over temporary satisfaction.
The Bible tells us that the wisdom of this world might seem smart, but in God’s eyes, it’s not the best way to live. So, let’s follow Jesus’ example and choose love and forgiveness, even when it’s hard.
So, there’s this thing called worldly wisdom that might help you succeed for a little while, but it won’t give you true happiness or eternal life. People who only care about themselves and chase after things that won’t last are missing out on the real deal. Christians, on the other hand, build their lives on Jesus Christ, who is like a rock that will never crumble.
Christianity is pretty cool because it goes against what we might think makes sense. Like, how can someone dying on a cross bring victory? How can God show His power through weakness? Back then, the cross was a symbol of shame and punishment; now it’s a symbol of hope and redemption.
Some people might think the message of the cross is silly, but for those who believe, it shows how awesome God’s power and wisdom are. Like, real life is found when we stop thinking only about ourselves, and strength is made perfect in weakness. Victory comes when we surrender to God, and the best treasure we can have is Jesus.
In the Bible, there are tons of stories about people who seemed foolish for their faith but ended up being the smartest ones around. Take Noah, for example. He built a huge ark even though there was no rain in sight. People made fun of him, but when the flood came, Noah and his family were the only ones who made it out alive (Genesis 6-7).
So, don’t be afraid to have “foolish” faith and trust in God, even when it seems crazy to others. In the end, it’s the wisest choice you can make!
Abraham’s faith and obedience to embark on a journey without destination was got rewarded with a nation and a son despite his expired biological clock (Gen. 12; 21).
And Moses? He abandoned a fancy life of royalty to lead a group of slaves through the desert, believing in God’s promise to save them (Hebrews 11:24-27).
David was a regular shepherd boy but he slew a giant with just a sling and some stones, trusting in God’s power (1 Samuel 17).
Remember the Apostles, who gave up everything to follow Jesus. They faced tough times, but their faith changed the world (Acts 4:13), and we are witnesses.
To most people, these guys seemed silly. But they had something special – faith in God. And because of that faith, they saw amazing things happen, promises came true and got eternal rewards.
Jesus might have seemed like a fool to many. People made fun of Him, called Him names, and even killed Him. But He was the smartest of all. His death brought life, His sacrifice brought redemption, and His comeback showed that God’s wisdom always wins.
Jesus showed us that true wisdom isn’t about being powerful or rich, but about following God, being humble, and loving others. If you try to save your own life, you’ll lose it. But if you give up your life for Jesus, you’ll find it (Matthew 16:25).
It is okay to be seen as a “fool” for believing in Christ. Being a Christian means having a different kind of wisdom that might make people laugh at you or not understand you. But those who trust in Jesus will see they’ve chosen the only way to eternal life.
While everyone around us is focused on things that won’t last forever, Christians are all about looking towards eternity. Jesus tells us not to get too caught up in collecting stuff here on earth, but to focus on building up treasures in heaven instead. The world might think that happiness comes from having lots of things, but real peace can only be found in Jesus. He promises to give us a special kind of peace that the world can’t give us.
Some might think having faith, being humble, and showing love are silly, but they are actually super powerful. God often uses seemingly insignificant situations to demonstrate His immense power. Those who stick with Jesus will ultimately receive an awesome reward. Jesus will say, “Great job, faithful friend! Come celebrate with me!”
So, don’t be afraid to look a little foolish for believing in Jesus. Even if the world thinks you’re a bit silly, remember that you’re in good company. Don’t be embarrassed to share the good news about Jesus with others. Stay strong in your faith, even when people make fun of you. God’s ways might seem strange to some, but they are way smarter and stronger than anything we can devise.
Keep standing up for what you believe in, walk confidently in your faith, and share the message that can save souls. In the end, the smartest decision you can make is to follow Jesus. So, don’t be afraid to be a little foolish for Christ – it will make you wise for eternity.
If you have been world-wise and have not joined the “foolish” army of believers yet, now is the perfect time to do so! Because “today is the day of salvation, now is the acceptable time.” 2 Corinthians 6:2
