Cardi B Confirms Pregnancy With Partner Stefon Diggs

Grammy-winning rapper Cardi B has revealed she is expecting a child with her boyfriend, Stefon Diggs, who is a wide receiver for the New England Patriots in the National Football League (NFL).

The “Bodak Yellow” star made the announcement during an interview with Gayle King on CBS Mornings, which aired Wednesday, Sept. 17.

“I’m having a baby with my boyfriend Stefon Diggs,” Cardi said, marking the couple’s first child together. The pair went public with their relationship earlier this year.

The news comes after Cardi’s well-publicized split from rapper Offset, with whom she shares three children: daughters Kulture and Blossom, and son Wave.

Talking to King, Cardi, 31, described feeling empowered and supported as she navigates this new chapter. “I feel like I’m in a good space. I feel very strong. I feel very powerful that I’m doing all this work. But I’m doing all this work while I’m creating a baby,” she said. She added that Diggs has been a steady source of encouragement amid outside pressures. “People were coming at me very hard, but he makes me feel very confident.”

Cardi also opened up about dealing with anxiety during the rollout of her upcoming album. “Two weeks ago I was literally having a panic attack… just because I was getting really nervous with, you know, the whole album rollout,” she admitted.

With her trademark humor, she also encouraged fans to support her sophomore album, Am I the Drama? “Now y’all could buy my album so I can buy Pampers and diapers and all that type of stuff,” she joked. “Go support my album, ’cause I’m a mother of four now.”

She explained that she delayed sharing the pregnancy publicly until she could “close some deals first” and revealed she has not yet told her parents, joking that she’s “scared of them.”

Speculation about the pregnancy had been growing for weeks, fueled by Cardi’s recent public appearances and pointed questions from reporters. She had previously brushed off the rumors, even tossing a pen at a reporter outside a Manhattan courthouse, but now says she is ready to embrace the moment.

Despite initial hesitation about falling in love again after her divorce, Cardi shared that Diggs encouraged her to give their relationship a chance. “Let me heal you. Give me a chance for me to heal you,” she recalled him saying.

With her relationship thriving and her album nearing release, Cardi expressed satisfaction with her creative work. “I feel like it touch every little thing that I want to touch. And I just feel like it’s something that is not out there right now.”
