The Super Eagles have resumed full training in Rabat, Morocco, ahead of their 2026 FIFA World Cup Africa play-off semi-final against Gabon, following the resolution of their recent bonus dispute.
Recall the team had boycotted Tuesday’s training session in protest over unpaid bonuses and allowances.
However, after renewed discussions with relevant authorities, an agreement has been reportedly reached, bringing the standoff to an end.
Confirming the development, team captain William Troost-Ekong took to his official X account to reassure fans of unity and focus within the squad.

“Issue resolved. We are together and, as before, focused on the games ahead,” the defender wrote.
Full squad returns to training
Wednesday’s training session, scheduled for 5 p.m. local time, saw all invited players in camp participate as head coach Eric Chelle intensified tactical preparations for Thursday’s crucial fixture.
Key players in camp include Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman, Moses Simon, Alex Iwobi, Wilfred Ndidi, and Troost-Ekong himself.
Nigeria face Gabon in Rabat
Nigeria will lock horns with Gabon at the 22,000-capacity Moulay Hassan Stadium on Thursday.
In the other semi-final, Cameroon are set to face the Democratic Republic of Congo at the El-Barid Stadium.
The winners of both matches will progress to the play-off final on November 16, which will decide who advances to the inter-confederation play-offs for a chance to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
