A lady cried out on social media, sharing her bitter experience while living in the same compound as her landlord.
The heartbroken woman, identified on TikTok as @irenetovihoudji, revealed that she has now decided to leave the house after repeated humiliations and mistreatment.
“He Threw Our Clothes on the Ground Like Trash”
The tenant explained that the final straw came when her sister washed clothes at the doorstep, instead of the backyard, to avoid trouble with the landlord.
“I told my sister to wash the clothes at our doorstep, not at the backyard, because I didn’t want the landlord’s problem. There’s no running water there, and we fetch water from another compound,” she said.
She continued, recounting the landlord’s reaction: “When I wasn’t around, he came and started questioning my sister about why she was washing in front of the house. Before we knew it, he threw all our clothes on the bare floor. Can you imagine? Clothes we just washed!”
“I’m Not Owing Rent, Yet He Treats Me Like This”
The woman expressed her shock and frustration at the way her family was treated.
“I’m tired. I can’t continue like this. I’m not owing him any rent, yet he treats me and my family like we’re squatters. This is too much,” she cried.
“He Once Slapped Me Because I Complained About Water”
Recalling a previous incident, the tenant said this was not the first time the landlord had been abusive.
“One time, I told him the water in the house wasn’t running. Instead of fixing it, he slapped me. I still kept quiet and stayed because I didn’t have anywhere else to go,” she recalled.
“I Just Want My Refund and Peace”
The tenant revealed that she had asked for her rent to be refunded and was already preparing to vacate the premises.
“I’ve told him I’m moving out. I want my refund. I just need peace for me and my family. I can’t live like this anymore,” she said.
Netizens Sympathize
The emotional clip has moved many online, who took to the comment section to offer support and share advice.
Some urged her to leave immediately for her safety, while others recommended reporting the case to authorities.
