The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has confirmed the dates and venues for the 2026 FIFA World Cup playoffs, which will determine Africa’s final representative at the global tournament.
According to the statement released on Wednesday, the mini-tournament will be staged in Rabat, Morocco, from November 13 to 16, 2025.
Four nations — Nigeria, Gabon, Cameroon, and DR Congo will battle for a spot in the intercontinental playoffs, where the winner will have a final chance to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The semi-final fixtures will take place on November 13, with Nigeria facing Gabon in the opening match at 5:00 p.m. at the El Barid Stadium, while Cameroon will lock horns with DR Congo at 8:00 p.m. at the Prince Moulay El Hassan Sports Complex.
The final is scheduled for November 16 at the Prince Héritier Moulay El Hassan Stadium, with the winner advancing to the intercontinental playoffs to contest for Africa’s 10th and final World Cup slot.
