The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has announced the delisting of 247 companies from its database after discovering that they were never duly registered as limited liability companies.
In a public notice issued on Friday and shared via its official X handle, the Commission disclosed that the affected firms had been parading fake Registered Certificate (RC) numbers which were never assigned to them by the CAC.
“The general public is hereby informed that the 247 names listed here below have not been duly registered as limited liability companies. The Registered Certificate (RC) numbers allegedly ascribed to them have not been assigned to any one of them. Consequently, the names and the RC numbers have been removed from the Database,”

The Commission further urged members of the public to disregard any claims by the delisted firms to legal personality, stressing that such companies have no rights or obligations under Nigerian law.
Some of the affected companies include Dwell Space Limited, Ambergas Limited, Renam Nig Ltd, Odacon Nig Ltd, L and K Investment Limited, Bornao Engineering Supply & Technical Company Limited, Tawakali Investment International Ltd, Vourla Petroleum/Gas Limited, Startrek Traveler Limited, Medical City SPV Services Limited, and Wadatau African Airspace Services Limited.
Other affected firms listed by the CAC range across different sectors, including construction, real estate, oil and gas, logistics, consultancy, and finance.
The Commission advised Nigerians and investors to always verify company registration details through the official CAC portal before engaging in any business transactions, noting that the step is crucial in protecting the public from fraud and illegal operations.
