Burna Boy shades Sophia Egbueje over alleged failed promise

Amid the ongoing controversy surrounding Grammy-winning artist Burna Boy’s apparent reluctance to buy socialite Sophia Egbueje a Lamborghini Truck, he has finally replied to her accusations.

On February 28, 2025, in a freestyle video uploaded on his Instagram page, Burna Boy chastised Sophia for losing her cool over his inability to purchase her a Lamborghini.

He freestyled: “No do no do, no do no do. If you no get me, forget about it.

“I no buy Lambo, is that why you are shouting? Where dem dey? I no dey see dem at all”

On February 27, 2025, a leaked voice note from Egbueje appeared, causing social media to stir.

Sophia claimed in the recordings that her friend Ama Reginald and Burna Boy’s buddy Manny pushed her to meet with Burna Boy, who promised her a Lamborghini.

“She is like, ‘Babe, you should take him seriously. You know it’s him that bought Stefflon Don Cullinan. He actually spends on girls. Just try and take him seriously,” Sophia said in part.”

However, she claims Burna Boy never followed through on his promise to buy her the expensive automobile after allegedly sleeping with her.

The voice notes sparked a firestorm on social media, eliciting various opinions and divisive conversations about social climbing and transactional relationships.
