Breaking: Lagos Speaker, Mojisola Meranda resigns  

Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Mojisola Meranda has resigned, after 38 days in charge. 

Her resignation comes two days after members of the house passed a vote of confidence on her leadership. The Lagos State parliament has been embroiled in controversies since the impeachment of Mudashiru Obasa.
