Breaking: Jubilation as Nigerian Gov Declares Work-Free Day


The Kano State Governor has announced Friday, September 12, as a work-free day in honour and celebration of the year Maulud Nabiyy, meant to commemorate the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

This was disclosed in a statement signed by Ibrahim Abdullahi Waiya, the state commissioner for information and internal affairs, where the government urged the people to remain peaceful in their celebration and in line with the teachings of the Prophet.

Kano government has announced Friday, September 12, as a public holiday in the state.
