A member Representing Fufore / Song federal constituency in the National Assembly, Aliyu Wakili Boya, has faulted Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri over his recent statement attributing the rehabilitation of the 86 kilometers Jabbi Lamba – Malabu – Sarau- Belel road rehabilitation to the efforts of the former First Lady Hajiya Aisha Buhari, her younger Brother and the National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu.
Addressing a press conference in Yola Wednesday, the lawmaker through one of his media aides, Mallam Umaru Nana, said Boya singlehandedly lobbied and facilitated the insertion of the project in 2024 budget leading to the award and completion of the project.
” The essence of this press briefing is not to join issues with the state government or anybody but just to set the records straight for the benefits of the public.
“The Rehabilitation of Jabbi Lamba- Malabu Road was made possible through the singular efforts of our principal, Hon. Aliyu wakili Boya who is currently representing the good people of Fufore/ Song Federal Constituency in the National Assembly “
According to him, it was the lawmaker that met the minister of works on the need for the completion of the project which was abandoned for over 40 years, due to its important to the socio-economic lives of the people.
” He lobbied all relevant agencies and worked in synergy with the federal controller of works in Adamawa state, which led to the actualization of the project which was completed and Commissioned.
Boya further noted that, the governor’s statement giving credit of the project to others may be a slip of tongue on the part of the governor which call for clarifications to enable the people of the state to know the true position of things.
The Lawmaker further reiterated his commitments to give his people effective and result oriented representation that is second to none in the history of the constituency and also attract federal presence not only in his constituency but also to Adamawa state as a whole.
He assured his constituents of more dividends of democracy ahead.
