Borno PDP Ward Exco Suspends State Secretary For Lack Of PVC, Alleged Anti-party Activities

DAMATURU – The State Secretary of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Aliyu Abubakar Aliyu has been suspended by the members of Executive Council of Zarawuyaku Ward in Biu local government area of Borno State.

The PDP Exco of Zarawuyaku Ward, led by the Ward Chairman, Yunusa Mohammed, passed a vote of no confidence on the Secretary in an emergency meeting, which had the signatures of 13 out of the 17 excos members.

According to the leadership, the secretary was suspended over alleged anti-party activity, lack of Permanent Voters Card (PVC), refusal to mobilize voters to engage in party rallies during the 2023 general election.

“Having reviewed the presidential and National Assembly Elections as well as the Governorship and State House of Assembly Elections held on the 25th of February 2023 and 11th of March 2023 respectively.

“We observed with utmost dismay that ALIYU ABUBAKAR ALIYU Who is the PDP State Secretary worked against the success of the party in Zarawuyaku Ward, State and National level at large.

“It is on record that he engage in anti- party and has failed to engage on voters mobilization and party rallies as required by him under section 11 sub -section 1 and 2 also act of gross misconduct to Zarawuyaku ward, and accordingly failed to pay his annual subscription fee, and equally didn’t possessed Permanent Voters Card (PVC) of Zarawuyaku
Ward Biu as provide under section 8 subsection 9 of the constitution of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) 2017 (as amended).

“The Zarawuyaku Ward Party Executives hereby SUSPEND ALIYU ABUBAKAR ALIYU as member of Peoples Democratic Party Zarawuyaku ward of Biu Local
Government, effective immediately.
This suspensions is in line with the provisions of 59 subsection 1 (D) and (F) of the constitution of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) 2017 (as amended) that Ward Party
Executives to take disciplinary action against erring members,” he said.

All efforts to get reaction from the suspended Secretary proved abortive at press time.
