Benue records 4 cholera deaths
At least four people have died from suspected cases of cholera reported in three LGAs of Benúe State: Agatu, Otukpo and Ado.
The state’s Epidemiologist, Dr Henry Ijabo, on Thursday, said that the four people died while investigation was still going on to ascertain their ailments.
Ijabo said that 16 suspected cases of cholera had been recorded in 2024, with four deaths.
He advised residents to stop open defecation and cultivate the habit of always washing their hands to prevent them from contracting the disease.
