Bayern Munich are reportedly prepared to part ways with Kingsley Coman this summer as they seek to fund a move for Bayer Leverkusen’s Florian Wirtz.
According to Sky Germany, the Bundesliga giants are willing to offload the French winger for a fee in the region of €30-40 million.
Coman’s departure would also free up his substantial wages of €17-18 million per year, easing Bayern’s financial burden as they pursue Wirtz.
The report suggests that Coman is leaning towards a move to Saudi Arabia, with clubs such as Al-Nassr and Al-Hilal showing interest.
Liverpool have also reportedly enquired about the 28-year-old, though no formal negotiations have taken place.
Coman has been an integral part of Bayern’s success since arriving on loan from Juventus in 2015, later making the move permanent in 2017.
He has made 327 appearances for the club, scoring 69 goals, including the decisive strike in the 2020 Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain.
With his contract running until 2027, Bayern are under no pressure to sell, but with the club looking to restructure, Coman’s departure appears increasingly likely.
In the meantime, the Frenchman will aim to feature in Bayern’s Bundesliga clash against VfL Bochum on Saturday.
