Bauchi NUJ Commends NEDC Over Construction Of Three Bridges Along Bauchi–Gombe Highway

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) , Bauchi State Council has commended the North East Development Commission (NEDC) on the ongoing construction of three bridges along the Bauchi-Gombe Federal highway.

This was contained in a statement by the Council Secretary, Isah Garba Gadau and made available to Journalists in Bauchi.

“We are delighted to note that the construction of these bridges which has reached the completion stage will not only ease the movement of people and goods between Bauchi and Gombe states but also boost security and economic activities in the region and beyond,” it said.

The NUJ Bauchi State Council also acknowledged the efforts of the NEDC in addressing the infrastructure deficits in the North East subregion sine its establishment.

The NUJ urged the Commission to sustain its interventions in critical sectors such as education, healthcare, and infrastructure development in the States.

The Union also called on the government and other stakeholders to support the NEDC in its efforts to rebuild and develop the North East subregion.
