The newly appointed Bauchi state Head of Civil Service (HOS), Muhammad Sani Umar Esq. has solicited the support and cooperation of workers in the state to boost productivity.
Speaking in an interactive session with journalists in Bauchi, the HOS urged the civil servants to redouble their efforts and ensure functionality at their various offices for better service delivery.
He noted that civil service is the engine room where government policies are implemented and therefore, said the support, cooperation, and dedication from all staff, regardless of rank, are required.
The new HOS also urged the civil servants to uphold the principles of the service as outlined in the state government’s regulations and promised to build on existing foundations, rather than making drastic changes to improve areas that need attention to achieve the present administration’s vision and mission.
He commended the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) in the state for their cooperation with the present administration’s policies and programs since 2019, which is paving the way for a continued positive working relationship.
