The dismissal, announced on Wednesday, was confirmed by Mr. Saleh Umar, the Information and Public Relations Officer of the Bauchi State Civil Service Commission (BSCSC).

According to Umar, the officers were found guilty of forgery, an offense that contravenes State Public Service Rule 0327 (ii, iii, and vi).
“The officers were posted to Government House from the Office of the Head of Civil Service, and their dismissal took effect from September 23,” Umar said.
He further quoted the Chairman of the commission, Dr. Ibrahim Muhammad, as urging civil servants to adhere strictly to the provisions of the Public Service Rules and Regulations while carrying out their assignments.
“Adherence to laid-down laws will free civil servants from unlawful practice and improve the quality of service delivery, free of corruption,” Muhammad said.
Meanwhile, the commission also formalized the promotion of three substantive Directors and endorsed the promotion of four Deputy Directors to Directors.
The promotions cover positions in Administration and Human Resources, Audit, Planning, Research and Statistics, Civil Litigation, and Land and Valuation.
