Barcelona wonderkid Lamine Yamal has confirmed the end of his relationship with Argentine rapper Nicki Nicole, bringing an end to a romance that had drawn widespread attention on social media.
The teenage football sensation, widely regarded as one of the brightest young talents in world football, addressed the rumours during an interview with journalist Javi Hoyos, confirming that the pair have gone their separate ways.
“We are not together anymore,” Yamal said, while firmly denying speculation of a difficult breakup. “It was not because of any infidelity.”
Reports of tension between the couple surfaced after Yamal’s recent trip to Italy, sparking online gossip about possible unfaithfulness. The Spain international, however, dismissed the claims, insisting that the split was amicable.
“We have simply parted ways and that’s it,” he clarified. “Everything that is coming out has nothing to do with us. I’ve not been unfaithful or got with someone else.”
Yamal and Nicole’s relationship, which lasted less than a year, had captured public interest, with the rapper often spotted at Barcelona’s matches cheering from the stands. She was also seen chatting with Barcelona manager Hansi Flick and mingling with injured players such as Raphinha and Dani Olmo during games.
Neither Yamal nor Nicole has revealed further details about the breakup, but both are said to have ended things on good terms.
