Barcelona have received encouraging news on Alejandro Balde after the left-back’s early withdrawal against Athletic Club raised fears of a concussion.
The 22-year-old started Saturday’s 4-0 win at the Spotify Camp Nou but was substituted at half-time following a heavy first-half collision that left him dazed and holding his head. Medical staff removed him as a precaution.

Tests show no serious issue
Subsequent checks have eased concerns inside the club. According to Barcelona reporter Javier Miguel (Diario AS), Balde experienced brief dizziness but suffered no serious injury and is expected to be available for the trip to London.
“Calm with Balde. He came off as a precaution due to feeling a bit dizzy. OK for London,” Miguel reported.
Ready for Champions League duty
Barcelona travel to England next for their Champions League clash with Chelsea, and Balde’s anticipated availability provides a timely defensive boost for Hansi Flick’s side.
