Barcelona plot double swoop for Kane, Upamecano

Barcelona are preparing an audacious summer move to bring Harry Kane and Dayot Upamecano from Bayern Munich in what could be a transformative deal for the club.

According to El Nacional Sporting director Deco is working on a package that would secure both players, addressing needs at the top and back of the pitch.

Kane, 32, has remained one of Europe’s most consistent forwards since his switch to the Bundesliga, maintaining his prolific scoring record in both league and Champions League competitions.

Barcelona view him as the ideal long-term replacement for Robert Lewandowski, who is nearing the latter stages of his career.

Kane as Lewandowski’s successor

Club insiders believe a fee of around €50 million could be enough to land the England captain, making the deal financially viable despite Barça’s well-known economic constraints.

Coach Hansi Flick is also supportive of the move, having observed Kane closely during his time in Germany.

Flick sees the striker as a perfect fit for Barcelona’s system built on wing play and a reliable No. 9.

Defensive reinforcement with Upamecano

In addition to strengthening their attack, Barcelona are keen to reinforce their defense with Dayot Upamecano.

The French international has been identified for his physical presence and composure, qualities that the Catalans have lacked amid recurring injuries.
