Baddy of Lagos shares update following successful leg surgery

Popular Twitter influencer David Obadiah, widely known as Baddy of Lagos, has shared a fresh update following his corrective surgery in Egypt, sparking a wave of relief and support from fans online.

It would be recalled that Baddy of Lagos received millions of naira in crowdfunding donations spearheaded by fellow influencer Wizarab, which enabled him to undergo the much-needed surgery abroad.

In his initial post-surgery update, he disclosed that doctors were only able to correct his right leg, halting the procedure on his left leg out of concern that his body might not withstand the pain. The second leg surgery, he revealed, would be rescheduled once his right leg had healed.

Now, in a recent post update, Baddy of Lagos unveiled his right leg without bandages, showing a remarkable transformation compared to its pre-surgery condition.

Sharing his experience, he captioned:
“I just woke up because I got knocked out (sedated because of pain) after I had my dressing changed. I was bleeding a little after the surgery (which is totally normal btw) but I’m a lil better now❤️.”

“My right leg as you can see is still swollen because of the stitches and after 3 weeks it’ll subside but everything is perfect thanks to God❤️,” he added.

The post has since drawn an outpouring of goodwill from fans and well-wishers, many of whom praised his courage while expressing eagerness to see him make a full recovery.

Reactions trailing Baddy of Lagos’ progress

@itzchristunique quizzed, “Wait, I thought the whole bandage was supposed to be there until they’re through with the second leg? Thank God you’re recovering fast.. More strength dear.”

Baddy of Lagos responded, “The support is there they removed the former one and put the new one in the second frame.. I just took a picture to show you how the process went.”

Clems_Andy opined: “For those who don’t know, after he’s all healed up, he’ll have to spend months developing new muscle memory and gait patterns, since his brain is already used to a compensatory walking style from the old leg alignment. He’ll need to undergo long-term physical therapy to help his brain and body relearn how to walk with the proper alignment. Wishing you all the best ahead, man.”

@hlghprst stated: “With what i’m seeing, that leg they did surgery on never straight well o.”

Laugh_drip said: “Omoh this thing go dey pain Weller oo Jesus 😩💔🤦‍♀️. See as they stitçh your leg omoh e no dey easy oo God will complete his work in your life in Jesus name amen 🥹🙏.”
