Bad Bunny will take the spotlight at next year’s Super Bowl halftime show, becoming the first Puerto Rican artist to headline the NFL’s biggest stage. The Grammy-winning star will perform at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, on February 8, 2026.
The NFL, Apple Music, and Roc Nation confirmed the announcement on Sunday, marking another milestone in the reggaeton and Latin trap artist’s meteoric rise.
“What I’m feeling goes beyond myself,” Bad Bunny said in a statement. “It’s for those who came before me and ran countless yards so I could come in and score a touchdown, this is for my people, my culture, and our history. Ve y dile a tu abuela, que seremos el HALFTIME SHOW DEL SUPER BOWL.”
Roc Nation founder Jay-Z praised Bad Bunny’s cultural impact, “What he’s done and continues to do for Puerto Rico is truly inspiring. We are honored to have him on the world’s biggest stage.”
The 31-year-old artist, born Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, is currently leading all nominees at the Latin Grammys with 12 nods, following a record-breaking Puerto Rico residency that drew more than half a million fans. He has won three Grammys, 12 Latin Grammys, and is among the most streamed artists globally with albums like Un Verano Sin Ti.
Bad Bunny, who will host Saturday Night Live on October 4, has also expanded into acting with roles in Bullet Train, Caught Stealing, and Happy Gilmore 2.
NFL executives said his artistry will deliver “an unforgettable cultural moment.” Last year’s Super Bowl show, led by Kendrick Lamar with SZA, drew a record 133.5 million viewers, surpassing Michael Jackson’s 1993 performance.
Apple Music’s Oliver Schusser called Bad Bunny’s booking “historic,” His music has not only broken records but has elevated Latin music to the center of pop culture.”
