Audu Ogbeh, the former minister of agriculture, will be
buried on September 26.
Ogbeh died on August 9 at the age of 78.
In a funeral plan announced by his family, the burial of the
ex-national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will last from
September 22 to September 26.
The activities will begin with a night of tributes and songs
in Abuja on September 22. It will be followed by a requiem mass two days later
in the nation’s capital.
His remains will depart the federal capital territory (FCT)
on September 25 for Benue state where a joint valedictory session and state
executive council will hold on the same day. This will be followed by the wake
keep.
The funeral will take place on September 26 at the St
Francis Catholic church in his Otukpa hometown.
The private internment will take place same day while the
funeral activities will end with a reception at Community Secondary School,
Otukpa.
