Honourable (Elder) Francis Atanomeyovwi, Former Honourable Federal Commissioner Representing the South-South in the National Assembly Service Commission, Abuja, has expressed immense joy with the successful coronation and presentation of the staff of office to the Udu monarch, HRM (Engr) Michael Ogheneovo Orugbo JP, KP, Okporua I, the Ovie of Udu Kingdom, affirming that the development was the best thing to happen to Udu in recent years.

In a statement released to the media, Hon. Atanomeyovwi declared the ascension of His Majesty to the throne of his forebears a great traditional milestone in the Udu Kingdom, calling on the people to close ranks with the new King to stimulate economic growth and development.

The APC chieftain described the ascension of HRM (Engr) Micheal Orugbo as a divine intervention for the progress of the land, describing the King as an accomplished technocrat and philanthropist, who has attained a great degree of prominence in human management and entrepreneurship as Chairman of O-Secul Nigeria Limited.

He added that he was highly delighted to hear of the choice of Orugbo as the Ovie of Udu Kingdom, praising the Kingmakers for doing Udu proud in bringing their first eleven to reign over the Kingdom.

Chief Atanomeyovwi expressed great delight with the staff of office, which has put a seal of authority in the reign of His Majesty over his people, urging all indigenes and non-indigenes in the area, as well as corporate citizens, to rally round the Ovie to propel Udu to greater achievements in the years to come.
