Aston Villa defender Ezri Konsa has tipped the team to win this year’s Europa League title.
Yet to win a domestic game this season, Villa host Bologna at Villa Park as they aim to get back to goal scoring ways in front of a frustrated home crowd who are desperately awaiting the side to return to their old ways.
Speaking with the club’s website, Konsa stated that Aston Villa chances of winning the competition is very high.
“It’s a realistic aim. It’s a competition we want to win. For us, we will take it game by game. We know the boss’ record in the Europa League. We are contenders and there is pressure, but we have to deal with that every week.”

The experienced defender also stated that the Villa side will bounce back soon enough and that there is no need for a crisis meeting.
“We have been in these positions before and it’s clear we aren’t scoring enough goals. I believe in the players we have and I’m sure it will click.
“I don’t think we are at that stage to have what people call crisis meetings. John McGinn takes the lead in that. After the game he said a few words to keep us going and encouraged us.”
