Aaron Ramsdale

Arsenal identify three players they could replace this summer

Arsenal are looking to improve their squad considerably during the summer transfer window and they are looking to improve three positions in particular.

According to Football Insider, Arsenal will look to sign a goalkeeper, a left-back and a central midfielder this summer. They would be willing to replace players like Aaron Ramsdale, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Thomas Partey.

It remains to be seen whether they can bring in adequate alternatives for the three players. Ramsdale has fallen down the pecking order at Arsenal since the arrival of David Raya. The Englishman is no longer the first-choice keeper at the club and he needs to move on in search of regular playing time. Leaving Arsenal would be ideal for him. He’s too good to sit on the bench at the north London club and he could start for most clubs in the league. Arsenal will have to bring a quality backup option if he leaves this summer.

Meanwhile, Zinchenko is the only reliable left-back at the club right now. Nuno Tavares and Kieran Tierney are expected to be sold permanently this summer. Arsenal need to add more quality and depth in that department and signing another left-back should be one of their top priorities.

Thomas Partey to leave Arsenal?

Arsenal need a quality midfielder

As far as Thomas Partey is concerned, there is no doubt that he is a quality player but he has had his share of injury problems this past season and Arsenal need a more long-term option in the midfield. They need to bring in a quality centre midfielder who could form a solid partnership with Declan Rice for the years to come.

The Gunners have been linked with a number of midfielders in recent weeks and it will be interesting to see who they end up signing.

They have missed out on the title for two seasons in a row now. Arsenal will be hoping to go all the way next year and signing the right players will certainly boost their chances.
