Arochukwu/Ohafia 2027: CPAO Targets 10,000 Votes For Ifeanyi Ogbonna

Ahead of the 2027 House of Representatives election, the Concerned Progressives of Arochukwu and Ohafia (CPAO), a key All Progressives Congress (APC) support group, has pledged to rally 10,000 votes in favor of Hon. Ifeanyi Elvis Ogbonna, a prominent APC chieftain.

Ogbonna, popularly known as “Ignis,” is being positioned as the leading candidate for the Arochukwu and Ohafia Federal Constituency seat.

The announcement was made during the Stakeholders’ Summit held at the Ohafia Town Hall, located in Ohafia Local Government Area (LGA), which saw the participation of more than two thousand enthusiastic residents.

Attendees hailed from various wards across Arochukwu LGA, including Arochukwu I, Arochukwu II, Arochukwu III, Eleoha, Ihechiowa, Ikwun, Isu, Ohaeke, Ohafor I, Ohafor II, Ovukwu, and Ututu, alongside wards from Ohafia LGA, such as Agboji, Abiriba, Amaeke, Amaogudu, Ania, Ebem Ohafia, Isiama, Ndi Agbo, Nkporo, Ndi Elu, Ndi Etiti, Ohafor, and Okanu.

Engr. Ifeanyi Iheaka, the General Secretary of the CPAO, spoke on behalf of the group, praising Hon. Ogbonna for embodying the core ideals of President Bola Tinubu’s “Renewed Hope” agenda, which focuses on reshaping Nigeria’s future and addressing critical socio-economic issues.

He emphasized that Ogbonna’s candidacy offers a transformative opportunity to address the chronic infrastructure deficit, rising unemployment, and poverty that has long plagued the region, especially the youth demographic.

Iheaka’s statement read, “Your presence today reflects our collective commitment to solidarity, development, and constructive engagement across our communities. We are here to send a strong message that Hon. Ifeanyi Ogbonna represents hope for a brighter future for Arochukwu and Ohafia.”

The CPAO’s commitment to Ogbonna’s candidacy was underscored by its strategic efforts to deepen grassroots networks, youth groups, and community clusters across both local government areas.

The group has already reached over 10,000 individuals in a bid to enhance civic awareness and voter engagement.

“We don’t just want to win,” Iheaka declared passionately. “We want to win with a landslide, because we firmly believe in the capabilities of our candidate, Hon. Ifeanyi Ogbonna.”

The rally, which united people from various sectors of the society, including government officials, traditional institutions, market leaders, and community figures, was described as a reflection of the region’s unity, commitment, and political vision.

Many at the event acknowledged the significant strides made by President Tinubu’s administration in fostering national reforms and its contributions to the development of communities nationwide.

Iheaka also took time to highlight the inclusive nature of their campaign, stating, “We have extended our grassroots mobilization to include the Arewa, Yoruba, and other indigenous tribes in Arochukwu and Ohafia.

This is part of our strategy to ensure that our target of 10,000 votes for both President Tinubu and Hon. Ogbonna is not just a goal, but a reality.”

In a bid to maintain political momentum and encourage party unity, the CPAO General Secretary announced that the group would also be engaging in preparatory activities for the upcoming ward, local, and state congresses scheduled for December.

“Our mobilization efforts are not just for the general election. We are preparing the ground for party-wide engagement and leadership selection to ensure that we have a cohesive and successful APC team at all levels,” he added.

The statement concluded with a call to action for all stakeholders to engage actively, participate in open dialogue, and ensure that the momentum of their political efforts continues to build toward a victorious 2027 election.

In the coming months, the CPAO’s full-scale mobilization efforts are expected to intensify, as the group strives to deliver on its promise of 10,000 committed votes for Ogbonna and Tinubu, solidifying their position as key players in the region’s political landscape.

The 2027 race for the House of Representatives in Ohafia/Arochukwu now promises to be one of the most closely contested, with a formidable APC candidate at the helm, backed by a strong and committed support base.
