The Senator representing Osun East, Francis Adenigba Fadahunsi, has commended the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members in Osun state for the maturity they displayed on the Appeal Court ruling regarding local government elections in the state.
Senator Fadahunsi in a personally signed statement, Wednesday, alleged that the members of All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state were twisting the judgement to sooth their personal interests.
He praised the PDP leadership and stakeholders for their resilience and courage, emphasising that the people’s will could not be overridden.
He called on law enforcement to maintain order, expressing concern over claims made by APC leaders.
Fadahunsi also alleged that the APC was trying to undermine Governor Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke’s progress and urged stakeholders to commit to peace and development in Osun state.
While APC leaders and members in the state interpreted the judgement as call for reinstatement of sacked local government chairmen and councilors, their PDP counterparts, argued that such declarative order was not given in the judgement.
