The All Progressives Congress (APC) has commenced its North-East Zonal “Train-the-Trainers” workshop for the party’s membership e-registration exercise in Maiduguri, Borno State.

The event, which marks a major step in the party’s digital reform process, was officially flagged off by the Deputy National Chairman (North), Dr. Ali Bukar Dalori, on behalf of the National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda.

In attendance was the APC National Vice Chairman (North-East) and Chairman, Governing Board of the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) and the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), Comrade Mustapha Salihu, PhD, who described the initiative as “a key component of APC’s modernization efforts aimed at ensuring transparency, inclusivity, and accuracy in the party’s membership database.”

According to him, the “Train-the-Trainers” programme is designed to equip selected party officials with the technical skills required to coordinate digital registration across states and zones. “This is part of the APC’s digital reform drive to strengthen our internal democratic processes,” he said.

In his remark at the occasion, Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, reaffirmed the state’s loyalty to the APC, noting that Borno remains an APC stronghold from the grassroots to the state level. He added that the state is “blessed to be consistently winning elections on the flatform of the APC

The flag-off was attended by some members of the APC National Working Committee (NWC) and management staff from the APC National Secretariat, including:
