APC chieftain Ifeanyi Ogbonna applauds Senator Kalu on Amannagwu Arochukwu road

Abia chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Hon. Ifeanyi Ogbonna has hailed Abia North Senator Orji Uzor Kalu for executing and completing the Amannagwu Arochukwu Road in Arochukwu Local Government Area (LGA).

The Ohafia and Arochukwu party chieftain, in a statement issued from his media office on Wednesday, extolled Kalu for constructing the road, which had previously been very difficult for residents and adversely affected their economic activities, especially for farmers, vehicle owners, and commuters.

Kalu, who chairs the Senate Committee on South-East Development Commission, recently announced the completion of the road.

The lawmaker, who made the announcement via his official social media handle, attached photos of the newly constructed double-drainage infrastructure, stating that the road implies better connectivity, easier trade, and improved daily life for the people.

Reacting to the development, Ifeanyi Ogbonna, popularly known as ‘Ignes’, referred to the project as a monumental human development investment with significant returns, highlighting other infrastructure projects constructed by the Abia North lawmaker.

The statement read in part:

‘This initiative will have a multiplier effect as a valuable investment for both current and future generations. We are very grateful.

‘Since he assumed office in 2019, Senator Kalu has become a household name when it comes to prioritising and executing countless infrastructural projects. We are grateful and very proud to have him as our distinguished senatorial representative.

‘The smooth access to other villages is the major impact of this huge investment, strategic planning, and the Senator’s unalloyed commitment to rural development and food security, and his drive for rapid socio-economic growth and sustainable job opportunities.’

Ignes also expressed gratitude to Senator Kalu for fulfilling his campaign promises to the constituents of Abia North, particularly in Arochukwu and Ohafia local government areas.

He also pledged his unwavering dedication to supporting Kalu’s commitment to uplifting the human and infrastructural needs of Arochukwu and Ohafia local government areas.
