Anyim Is A Rising Star Of The East – Kalu

LAGOS – Dr. Emeka Kalu, the President of Eck Foundation, a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), has commended Sen. Anyim Pius Anyim, the former Senate President as he celebrates his 64th birthday today.

A statement by Kalu on Wednesday, described Anyim who was also a onetime Secretary to the Government of the Federation as a rising star of the east.

He also described him as a doyen of visionary leadership whose legislative impacts largely contributed to the harmonisation of the nation’s democracy in the fourth republic.

According to Kalu, during Anyim’s days in the office as the Secretary to the Federal government under former President Goodluck Jonathan, he worked tirelessly to ensure excellence, administration stability and good governance in the country.

His performance in office, led to the award of Merit in Service by Jonathan.

Kalu emphasised that as a leader, Anyim has demonstrated passion for leadership, exhibited courage and sense of thought in addressing critical issue of national importance.

The statement added: “The table has once again turned to your favour for your being counted among the living leading to your blissful celebration.

“You are a national leader with a golden heart who has continuously worked to aid the nation achieves streamlined economy and balanced democracy.

“Birthdays are always remarkable, for it reminds the celebrants of God’s unquantifiable faithfulness in their lives and personal endeavours.”
