American singer Taylor Swift makes history on Spotify

Popular American singer, Taylor Swift has achieved new streaming milestones.

Taylor Swift became the first female artist to reach 100 billion Spotify streams.

This comes after the multiple Grammy-winning singer became the first female artist in history to reach 100 billion listens across all credits on Spotify.

Checks on her Spotify account confirmed that she has 100 billion streams, making her the first female musician to accomplish this feat.

Taylor Swift is the second-highest earner on Spotify in the last 12 months, according to Chart Masters, a music data monitoring tool. Canadian musician Drake is the platform’s highest earner, at $7,717,904.

Recall that last year, Forbes pronounced Swift the first singer to become a billionaire entirely via her songs and performances.

Streaming revenues helped her accumulate a $1.6 billion fortune.
