

37-year-old American, Nicholas Giroux, sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of Nigerian-American boxer, Isaiah Olugbemi.
Recall that Isaiah Olugbemi was tragically shot dead on June 17, 2024, in Odenton, Maryland by Isaiah Olugbemi.
Nicholas Giroux was sentenced to life imprisonment by Judge Richard Trunnell on August 29, 2025, after pleading guilty to first-degree murder and use of a firearm in a crime of violence.
Prior to his death, Isaiah Olugbemi was a rising star in amateur boxing, known for his promising career and recent win at the National Golden Gloves Championship.
He left behind his wife and his young daughter.
