Amafibe launches educational scholarship project through Davdan Peace and Advocacy Foundation

Renowned Peace Advocate and Humanitarian, Amb Dr Kingsley Amafibe, has unveiled a new educational scholarship project under the umbrella of the Davdan Peace and Advocacy Foundation, a move hailed as a strategic step toward strengthening Nigeria and Africa education sector.

The scholarship initiative is designed to support underprivileged students, particularly those from rural and low-income communities, who face financial challenges in accessing quality education.

By providing tuition support, learning materials, and mentorship opportunities, the project aims to bridge the gap between talent and opportunity, ensuring that no deserving child is left behind due to economic hardship.

Speaking at the launch, Amb. Amafibe emphasised that education remains a cornerstone of national development and peacebuilding.

He noted that empowering young people through knowledge not only reduces poverty but also curbs social vices, fosters innovation, and builds a generation of future leaders who can contribute meaningfully to society.

Stakeholders in attendance described the project as a timely intervention, given the rising number of school dropouts linked to economic hardship and inadequate support systems.

So far, 1000 children have benefited. They further highlighted that the scholarship will inspire academic excellence while giving beneficiaries a platform to pursue careers that could transform their communities.

The Davdan Peace and Advocacy Foundation has long been recognised for its commitment to peace initiatives and youth empowerment.

With this scholarship project, the foundation is expanding its reach into the education sector, reinforcing the critical role of education in driving national stability, progress, and global competitiveness. Amb Dr Kingsley Amafibe is also the Project Director of Peace Ambassador Agency and 100 Most Notable Peace Icon Africa organisers of 100 Most Notable Africans Leadership and Business Summit.
