Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology, Wudil, Kano State, has expelled 34 students for examination misconduct, rusticated 13 others for one academic session, and issued warning letters to several more.
The disciplinary measures, announced in a statement by Abdullahi Datti, Head of Information, Publications, and Public Relations, were approved by the university senate during its 123rd meeting on October 9, 2025, following recommendations from the Examinations Regulations and Irregularities Committee.
In a separate development, the university established a Centre for Equipment Maintenance to improve the upkeep of academic and research tools across its faculties.
The centre will implement preventive maintenance schedules, repair faulty equipment, and train staff and students on proper equipment use and basic maintenance.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Musa Yakasai appointed Dr. Murtala Dambatta from the Department of Mechanical Engineering as the centre’s pioneer Director.
