Nigeria’s Kanyinsola Ajayi has reached the final of the men’s 100m at the 2025 Athletics Championship in Tokyo, Japan, reports Completesports.com.
Ajayi finished second in the semi-final in a time of 9.93s.
The race was won by Noah Lyles of United States of America in a time of 9.92s.

South Africa’s Akani Simbine came third in a time of 9.96s.
Ajayi is the first Nigerian athlete in 18 years to qualify for the final of the 100m at the World Athletics Championship.
Olasoji Fasuba was the last Nigerian to achieve the feat in Italy in 2007.
Two other Africans ; Letsile Tebogo of Botswana, and South Africa’s Gift Leotlela will also compete in the final.
