Aiyedatiwa’s Aide Obtains UTME Forms For Indigent Students, Pledges Scholarships

AKURE – In efforts to assist indigent students to achieve their aspirations, Dr. Stephen Agbi, Special Assistant (Mobilization) to Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has obtained and distributed Universal Tertiary Matriculation Examination(UTME) forms to indigent students selected from the three senatorial districts of the state.

The gesture is part of his efforts to reduce the number of out-of-school children in the state.

Dr Agbi promised to the beneficiaries that he would award scholarship for the best three among them in their pursuit of their courses all through their years in the university.

The Chief Executive Officer(CEO) of AS Wonders Homes and Properties, from Arigidi-Akoko in Akoko North West Local Government Area of Ondo State, pledged to remain committed to humanitarian service through different initiatives.

Dr. Agbi said: “I decided to obtain and distribute the UTME forms to the indigent students who are in the final year in secondary schools and those who have completed the o’level but who their parents could not afford to sponsor their education in higher institutions.

In my own little way, I am working on how to reduce the number of out-of-school children in our state by sharing these forms to them free of charge.

“I am going to give scholarship awards to the best three performing students among them that received the forms.

“The scholarship will cover their tuitions all through the completion of their courses of study when they gain administration.

“I advise them to put up their best by seizing this opportunity provide for them to achieve the aspirations in life.”

Olusegun Abisoye graduated from the University of Lagos with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications in 2000. He has since worked in various media companies notably Castles, Success Digest, BusinessDay and Vanguard. He also had a stint with CSS Bookshops Limited.
