 ADVAN Prepares For The 2025 African Marketing Excellence Awards

 The Advertisers Association of Nigeria (ADVAN) is set to host the highly anticipated African Marketing Excellence Awards on February 22, 2025, at the prestigious Admiralty Conference Centre in Victoria Island, Lagos. 

This year’s theme, “Controlled Chaos: Mastering Marketing in a Hyper-Connected World,” highlights the evolving complexities of today’s digital era. It underscores the challenge of navigating fragmented consumer attention, unpredictable market trends, and the overwhelming surge of digital content while maintaining impactful brand communication. 

The event promises an evening of prestige, glamour, and industry recognition, bringing together Africa’s top marketing professionals, government officials, industry veterans, and CEOs of leading multinational companies. The red carpet will be a spectacle of elegance, with guests welcomed by flashing cameras, dazzling lights, and an array of paparazzi capturing the finest moments. 

Renowned for its opulent ambiance and breathtaking views of the Lagos waterfront, the Admiralty Conference Centre will be transformed into a visually stunning space, featuring exquisite décor, sophisticated lighting, and a captivating stage design. Attendees can expect a night of high fashion, premium entertainment, and a celebration of marketing excellence. 

For the 2025 edition, ADVAN has introduced new award categories to reflect the industry’s dynamic landscape. Among them is Best Use of AI, recognizing brands that have effectively leveraged artificial intelligence for groundbreaking marketing campaigns. Additionally, the Industry Builder Award will honor visionary entrepreneurs and CEOs who have made remarkable contributions to business growth and transformation. The Public Sector Brand of the Year Award will acknowledge government agencies that have successfully utilized perception marketing to promote policies and build sustainable brands. 

The inspiration behind this year’s theme stems from the rapidly shifting marketing environment, where traditional strategies no longer suffice, and adaptability is key. Manpreet Singh, Chief Marketing Officer of Tolaram Group and Chairman of the Awards Planning Committee, emphasized the need for agility and authenticity in modern marketing. According to him, the brands that thrive today are those that embrace uncertainty, experiment fearlessly, and maintain an authentic connection with their audience. 

Singh leads a distinguished planning committee alongside other influential marketing leaders, including Sandra Amachree, Head of Marketing Communications at Nigerian Breweries Plc, and Funmilayo Osineye, Business Manager at Nestlé Plc, as well as members of the ADVAN Executive Council. Their collective expertise ensures a meticulously curated event that upholds the highest standards of excellence.
