Atalanta‘s head coach, Ivan Juric, has stated that Ademola Lookman was wrongly advised by those around him before returning to the Serie A club this season.
Lookman rejoined the squad on Sunday, coming on as an 87th-minute substitute for Kamaldeen Sulemana in Atalanta’s 3-0 win over Torino.

The result, a strong response to their midweek Champions League defeat to PSG, lifted the Bergamo outfit to fifth in the Serie A table with eight points, just two behind leaders Juventus.
Speaking to Football Italia, Juric revealed that the winger’s recent absence stemmed from external influences.
“He spoke to me and the team on Monday,” Juric said.
“He was surrounded by people who had given him some bad advice. He has a great winning mentality, and now we need to get him back in shape physically.”
Lookman, who was linked with a move away from Atalanta during the summer transfer window, is now expected to concentrate on regaining full fitness as the club push to stay in contention near the top of the table.
