Ademola Lookman is set to work under a new manager following Atalanta’s appointment of Raffaele Palladino as their new head coach.
The Serie A side confirmed the Italian tactician’s arrival on Monday, announcing that he has signed a contract that runs until June 2027.
Palladino replaces Ivan Juric, who was dismissed after a poor run of results and reported tension with Lookman.

Juric’s exit came less than 24 hours after a disappointing 3-0 home defeat to Sassuolo, a result that left Atalanta languishing in 13th place after 11 league matches.
The Croatian, who took charge in June following Gian Piero Gasperini’s nine-year tenure, managed just two wins and left the club 11 points behind leaders Inter Milan.
“Atalanta BC announces that Ivan Juric has been relieved of his duties as first-team coach,” the club said in a statement.
“We thank Ivan Juric and his staff for their hard work and wish them success in their future endeavours.”
Palladino, who previously managed Fiorentina, is known for his progressive attacking philosophy and commitment to developing young players.
Despite his stint in Florence ending amid internal disagreements, his innovative tactical approach has earned him respect across Italian football.
Atalanta CEO Luca Percassi expressed confidence in the new appointment.
“We believe Raffaele embodies the qualities needed to lead Atalanta into a new chapter of growth and success. His energy, vision, and long-term commitment align with our ambitions for the future.”
The change in leadership could provide a fresh start for Lookman, who has been a key figure for Atalanta since joining in 2022 but recently found himself out of favour under Juric.
