The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has dismissed speculations of internal political wrangling.
The party insists that it remains united and focused on strengthening its national structures ahead of the 2027 elections.
The statement was made on Thursday, by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, during an interview on Arise Television.

Abdullahi reacted to recent claims by Nafiu Bala, who on Wednesday, described himself as the authentic National Chairman of the ADC, citing the Electoral Act and the party’s constitution as the basis for his claim.
“As our party’s national leadership, we are not aware of any change of leadership.
“Our party’s former National Chairman voluntarily resigned his position as the National Chairman of the party,” Bala had stated.
Responding to Bala’s assertion, Abdullahi emphasized that the claims are false and appear designed to distract the coalition.
“This notion of crisis is good for the headlines, but there is no crisis in the ADC. The man resigned, and we provided evidence.
“ If he claims otherwise, that’s a crime he should report to the police, not call press conferences,” he said.
Abdullahi further explained that the party’s constitution empowers the National Executive Committee (NEC) to act on behalf of the convention.
“This same person said the same thing four or five weeks ago. What makes it news again is what surprises us,” he added.
The ADC has reiterated its commitment to unity and organizational growth, assuring members and supporters that it is focused on consolidating its structures nationwide in preparation for the 2027 elections.
Party officials called on the public to disregard misleading reports and remain confident in the party’s leadership and direction.
