ADC has no political structure in Anambra -APGA Chair

Sly Ezeokenwa, national chairman of the All Progressives
Grand Alliance (APGA), says the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has no
structure in Anambra state.

Ezeokenwa was reacting to comments by Donald Amamgbo, ADC
candidate in the Anambra south senatorial by-election, who alleged that the
election was heavily rigged in favour of APGA.

“I can tell you, without any fear of equivocation, there is
no political party with any structure anywhere in Anambra known as ADC,”
Ezeokenwa said in an interview with TVC on Friday.

“Even the so-called court candidate that you just mentioned
is unknown in Anambra. In fact, the first time I heard that name was just
before this election. We heard of Barrister Amamgbo, who, of course, by
implication, is my learned colleague.”

He said the only person he knows from the ADC is Ralph
Nwosu, the party’s former national chairman.

“Ralph Nwosu is my senior brother. He is from Awka south,
and I know him as a national chairman of ADC. That’s all I know about ADC,” he
said.

Ezeokenwa dismissed the ADC as a party that only exists on
paper.

“Any structure about that exists barely on paper and nowhere
in Anambra state,” he said.

“So, for me, it’s not for me to devote or waste unnecessary
time on activities concerning ADC as a political party.

“They know that they don’t exist; they don’t have any
structure in Anambra and that was actually shown during the last election.

“In fact, if you look at the result of the election in
Anambra south, the ADC candidate pulled less than two percent of the total vote
cast in Anambra South.

“Even his own local government and his community he couldn’t
amass as much as 12 percent of the votes cast.

“So that tells you the intensity of the so-called structure
that they have. They don’t exist anywhere in Anambra.”
