The Adamawa State Government, under the leadership of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with A4&T Power Solutions Limited and Sparrow Mobility Limited for the implementation of energy and transport projects valued at over ₦80 billion.
Under the agreements, Adamawa will generate 15 megawatts of electricity through mini-grids, hybrid systems, and solar installations. In addition, 10,000 electric motorcycles and bicycles will be deployed within two years, supported by charging and assembly plants across the state.
Governor Fintiri described the partnerships as a reflection of his administration’s commitment to expanding electricity supply, promoting clean energy, and modernizing transportation infrastructure.

Speaking at the signing ceremony at Government House, Yola, the governor said the deals represent a major step toward economic growth, industrial transformation, and improved living standards, assuring investors of full government backing.
The first MoU, signed with A4&T Power Solutions Limited, will focus on power generation and distribution across Adamawa. Governor Fintiri emphasized that reliable electricity will stimulate industries, strengthen agriculture, and create jobs.
The second agreement, with Sparrow Mobility Limited, will drive the assembly and deployment of electric motorcycles and tricycles in the state. According to him, the initiative will provide safer transport, reduce emissions, and empower young people with new job opportunities.
The Commissioner for Works and Energy Development, Hon. Adamu Atiku, explained that the projects will attract investments of over ₦80 billion within five years, targeting the generation of 15 megawatts of power through a mix of interconnected mini-grids, isolated grids, and solar-hybrid systems.
He further noted that Sparrow Mobility will roll out 10,000 electric motorcycles and bicycles within two years, supported by strategically located charging and assembly plants.
Also speaking, Mr. Ayo Ademilua, CEO of A4&T Power Group, disclosed that the company had mapped out priority areas across major local governments in Adamawa to determine the most suitable power solutions. He explained that while some areas require interconnected mini-grids, others will need isolated mini-grids or extended distribution systems. With over 12 years of experience in deploying power projects in Nigeria, he assured that A4&T is committed to tailoring solutions to Adamawa’s specific needs.
The Commissioner for Transport, Mrs. Wunfe Anthony, commended Governor Fintiri for championing the initiative. She said the partnership will accelerate Adamawa’s transition to clean energy, reduce carbon emissions, and promote eco-friendly transportation, delivering long-term benefits to both the environment and the people.
