Adamawa APC stakeholders applaud Tinubu’s achievements


…Express gratitude over Ribadu’s appointment

The Adamawa State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has applauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s achievements in office.

The commendation took place during a stakeholders engagement seminar/conference in Yola.

The event was organised to sensitizing the people of Adamawa about the developmental strides of the Tinubu-led federal government over the last two years.

The Head Information/Public Relations, Nigerian Technical Aid Corps (NTAC), Ojo Adetoun Olubunmi, in a statement issued in Abuja, said the one-day grassroots engagement and sensitization meeting organized by APC lawmakers in the State Assembly, which brought together party faithful, community leaders, and other stakeholders, provided a platform for participants to review the achievements of the current administration and expressed their appreciation for the appointment of Mallam Nuhu Ribadu as the National Security Adviser.

In his Keynote address, the Director-General of the Nigerian Technical Aid Corps (NTAC) and APC Stalwart, Yusuf Buba Yakub, commended President Tinubu for his bold and transformative economic policies that have repositioned Nigeria for sustainable growth and international relevance.

He highlighted the positive impact of the President’s policies, including the removal of fuel subsidy and the floating of the naira, which have saved the nation trillions of naira and redirected revenue to critical areas of development.

“We are proud of the achievements of the President Tinubu-led government in the last two years, and we are particularly grateful for the appointment of Mallam Nuhu Ribadu as the National Security Adviser,” Buba said.

Buba also praised the President for appointing Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, a son of the state, as National Security Adviser, saying it was a testament to his confidence in the abilities of Nigerians from the region to deliver on critical national assignments.

He noted that the President’s decision to remove fuel subsidy has proven to be a step in the right direction, stating that Nigeria can now proudly be described as an exporter of finished petroleum products.

Buba further highlighted several major infrastructure projects underway, including a superhighway linking the North, Southwest, and South-South, a 750-kilometre Lagos–Calabar Coastal Highway, and the 477-kilometre Trans-Saharan Highway stretching from the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) to Calabar and the Sokoto-Badagry Superhighway designed to have a total length of 1,068 kilometres (1,068 km).

“In the North-East, a 432-kilometre Akwanga–Jos–Bauchi–Gombe highway is underway, with surveys ongoing to extend the route to Yola, effectively creating a direct expressway from Abuja to Yola,” the NTAC Director-General stated.

He also noted the significant strides in railway development, with $3 billion approved for the Eastern Corridor Railway line and a 27 percent growth in the sector.

Buba added that the water sector has similarly recorded a 40 percent increase in performance, the highest since independence.

“On education, he praised the introduction of a ₦95.6 billion student loan scheme and the approval of free education for all Technical schools, complete with new equipment and a modernized curriculum.

“The Director-General further emphasized the government’s commitment to social welfare, citing the Conditional Cash Transfer program that provides ₦75,000 to over 50 million Nigerians, and the recruitment of Forest Guards to strengthen national security.

“In the energy sector, he commended the adoption of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) for vehicles, noting its impact on reducing transportation costs.

“Concluding his remarks, the Director-General lauded President Tinubu and the APC leadership for achieving these milestones in record time, affirming that the administration’s efforts are transforming infrastructure, education, and social welfare across Nigeria.

“The conference was attended by prominent dignitaries, including Rt. Hon. Yusuf Buba Yakub, Comrade Barrister Salihu Mustapha (National Vice Chairman Northeast), Barrister Idris (State Chairman of APC), and Hon. Suleiman Alkali (Minority Leader of the Adamawa State House of Assembly),” the statement read.
