Nollywood actress Bimpe Akintunde, widely known as Wasila Coded, who welcomed her second child in July, has opened up about her pregnancy journey, describing it as a frightening experience filled with health complications and several emergency hospital visits.
In an Instagram post on Friday, the actress shared her experience, revealing the struggles she went through during her pregnancy.
She disclosed that she struggled with severe low blood pressure throughout the pregnancy, a condition that even led to her collapsing on a movie set at one point.

“I started battling low blood pressure in January, but I kept strong and continued going to work. I remember collapsing on #iamkennygorge in early February while filming The Return of Sambala in Ikorodu. Luckily, my clinic is in Ikorodu, so I drove myself straight there,” she wrote.
According to her, the condition frequently resulted in repeated hospital admissions.
“I was in and out of the hospital on emergency treatment about six times during the pregnancy, all because of the low BP,” she added.
Akintunde further shared that she faced disturbing dreams and alarming prophecies during that period but remained steadfast by holding on to her faith.
“I had so many scary dreams and death revelations even from people who neither saw me nor knew I was pregnant.
“It was indeed a tough and frightening journey, but one thing I know for sure is that God was part of it. He would never leave me alone,” the actress said.
Reflecting on her delivery, Wasila Coded recounted that she had gone to the clinic on July 17 for treatment but unexpectedly went into labour the following morning.
“On Friday morning, I was getting ready to go home when the doctor in charge asked me to come to the delivery room for a check. She told me to stay back, the baby was coming! My heart skipped,” she said.
Akintunde referred to the birth as both quick and nothing short of miraculous.
“As the contractions grew more intense, I didn’t even know where I dropped my phone.
“Behold, all of this took less than three hours and my precious gift from God arrived! After almost ten years, I delivered naturally; no C-section, no complications and with the fastest labour recorded in the clinic this year.
“Mom and daughter are doing fine. Dear God, it can only be You,” Wasila Coded concluded.
