Abia landlord allegedly shoots man d3ad for playing football near his house

A 75-year-old man identified as Chief Stephen Irobunda, has been arrested for allegedly shooting and k!lling one Bright Odizuru Martins, 45, in Abia State. The incident happened in Umuodum Ohokobe Ndume, Umuahia North Local Government Area of the state on Saturday, November 2, 2024.  According to ABN TV, Bright along with other youths of the community were said to have been playing football near the residence of the suspect which infuriated him  He came out of his house with a dane gun and fired into the air, leaving the youths scampering for safety. The youths later regrouped and stormed the residence of the accused person to challenge him on why he scared them away with a gun. In the ensuing argument, he was said to have fired at the victim in the stomach. The victim was immediately rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced de@d. The irate youths pounced on the suspect and attempted to lynch him before he was rescued by security agents.  It was gathered that the youths also attempted to set his house ablaze but the move was averted by the security agents.  The spokesperson of Abia State Police Command, ASP Maureen Chinaka confirmed the k!lling, saying that investigation is ongoing at SCID.   The post Abia landlord allegedly shoots man d3ad for playing football near his house appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
