Elanu further stated that Oshiokhue Ikpeminoghens Philip was elected the AAC’s National Secretary, while Kunle Wizeman Ajayi, the party’s former governorship candidate in Ondo State, emerged the Deputy National Secretary.
Also elected was Abdullahi Usman (the National Organising Secretary); Erupre Gift Precious (National Treasurer); Faith Enattah Orinya (National Financial Secretary) and Rex Elanu (National Publicity Secretary).
In his brief remark, Somore, the party’s National Chairman, commended the delegates for the peaceful conduct during the election, even as he stressed that the task before the new executive was enormous.
He maintained that there would be no dull moment, even as he charged them to return to their bases to strengthen the party there and to ensure that the zonal and state chapters function well.
Sowore maintained that as an ideological party with the interest of the masses at heart, the party’s members should intensify the ongoing mobilisation of the working people and the grassroots, adding that 2027 general elections should not be allowed to go the same way as the previous ones.
He stressed that the country’s corrupt ruling class should be made to understand that their game was up and that the time had come for the people to take back their power from those who had been impoverishing them.
