A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and philanthropist, Abdussalam Abdulkarim Zaura, popularly known as AA Zaura, has called on Nigerians to throw their weight behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, expressing confidence in the president’s capacity to reposition Nigeria’s economy and improve citizens’ welfare.
Zaura, who made the call when a delegation of Tinubu/Shettima campaign group paid him a courtesy visit in his office said the collective support of Nigerians is crucial for the country to attain sustainable growth and join the league of nations with strong economies and better standards of living.
“I urge Nigerians to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu so that he can lead Nigeria into the ranks of countries with strong economies and a better standard of living in the world,” Zaura said.

The APC stalwart, known for his philanthropic activities and youth empowerment initiatives, emphasized that President Tinubu’s ongoing reforms, though initially challenging, are aimed at rebuilding the economy on a solid foundation of productivity, innovation, and accountability.
He said the president’s bold economic policies, including fuel subsidy removal and foreign exchange reforms, were necessary steps toward correcting long-standing structural imbalances and positioning the country for future prosperity.
“Every great nation has gone through a phase of economic restructuring before achieving stability and progress. What is required at this time is patience, unity, and faith in the government’s vision,” Zaura noted.
He urged political leaders, civil society organizations, and the private sector to align with the government’s developmental agenda rather than politicize the challenges that accompany reform.
According to him, the current administration’s focus on job creation, agricultural development, digital innovation, and infrastructure investment reflects a deliberate strategy to reduce poverty and empower Nigerians, especially the youth and women.
Zaura further called on Nigerians to remain optimistic and resilient, noting that the president’s economic transformation plan would soon begin to yield tangible results.
He reaffirmed his support for the APC-led government, describing President Tinubu as “a visionary leader with the courage and experience to reposition Nigeria for greatness.”
“Leadership is not about convenience but courage — the courage to make tough decisions for the long-term benefit of the people. I believe President Tinubu possesses that courage, and with our support, Nigeria will emerge stronger,” he said.
Zaura also reiterated his commitment to complementing government efforts through his foundation’s initiatives in education, digital entrepreneurship, and youth empowerment, which he described as vital to building a self-reliant and productive society.
He urged Nigerians across all divides to prioritize peace, national unity, and constructive dialogue in addressing the country’s socio-economic challenges.
“Let us rise above our differences and work together for the progress of our dear nation. Nigeria has the potential to be great, and under President Tinubu’s leadership, that dream is achievable,” Zaura added.
