The event, which was well attended by dignitaries and cultural custodians, further reaffirmed Edo’s standing as a land of enduring greatness and iconic leadership.
From dignitaries to cultural custodians, business moguls to public servants, the hall was filled with glamour, applause, and pride.
Guests left with one voice: “Edo Icons…our pride, our Legacy. The event didn’t just recognize Icons – It cemented Edo’s place as a land of timeless greatness.
The paper delivered by Prof. Sylvester Odion Akhaine, Department of Political Science, Lagos State University, set the audience on fire with his proposal to turn the state into another Dubai if those in power knows what to do and if they would listen to wisdom.
He said: “Edo State has all that it takes to turn things around for the betterment of all. We, the opinion moulders, have chosen a competent governor but the powers-that-be said no and that is where we are today. He concluded by saying ”
Whatever the situations are, we hope the present governor will listen to the good advice of Edo people in order to move the State forward.”
