UYO – The Akwa Ibom State Commissioner for Special Duties and Ibom Deep Seaport, Comrade Ini Ememobong has advised leaders across public offices on motivation of workforce for improved productivity.
Ememobong who is less than a week in the ministry handed down the advice while celebrating birthday for February-born staff of his ministry at the weekend.
While urging staff of the ministry to foster a workplace environment that feels like home, the immediate past Commissioner for Information emphasized that a motivated workforce is essential for achieving the Ministry’s strategic goals and enhancing overall state development.
Declaring celebrating employees a morale booster he said. “If we don’t make our workplace a home, we will end up growing older very quickly. We want to make this Ministry a place that every staff member looks forward to coming to from Monday to Friday.”
He applauded Governor Umo Eno’s commitment to staff appreciation, citing the recent recognition of outstanding civil servants, each rewarded with one million naira as a well-thought-out model for other classes of leaders.
Also speaking, the Permanent Secretary, Engr. Udosen Udoh, commended the initiative, describing it as unprecedented in the Ministry.
Reacting on behalf of the celebrants, Victoria Otu expressed gratitude and pledged dedication to duties.
